After discovering that the world of conveyancing goes hand in hand with real estate sales, I knew this was an industry I wanted to be a part of.
A property sale or purchase can be some of your biggest life transactions, and whether you do it often or just once, buying and selling can be stressful and daunting. It is my job to make sure that you are informed and led through the process to take away that stress.
There may be some bumps along the way, but I am here to work through any issues that may arise and keep you informed so you can get prepared for settlement day.
My career started in 2000 when I began both studying conveyancing and working for panel solicitors for banks preparing loan and mortgage documents for property settlements. I completed my study and gained my accreditation as a Registered Conveyancer in 2004. I have an understanding how a settlement is completed when a more complex loan is required or is to be discharged for a sale. Working with Solicitors I assisted with a wide range of transactions, from large scale CBD commercial sales, residential and rural conveyancing to estate and succession planning transfers. Each transaction was different and the knowledge I gained has shaped the Conveyancer I am today.
I am here to work for you every step of the way from before you sign a Contract, right up to and past settlement.
The best part of my day is making that call to say “Congratulations, your property has settled”.
So let me help support you in your path to homeownership and get you settled.
A Certified Practising Conveyancer (CPC) is a sign of excellence, professionalism and demonstrates that I have invested in myself to develop and keep my knowledge updated on the conveyancing profession.
As a current member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers SA Division (AICSA) I have been given the opportunity to continue to build and update my knowledge through their Professional Development Program.
To be considered a CPC, I have completed the minimum 100 points of professional development training which includes the key topics of risk management and cyber security in the previous 12 months.
You can feel confident as my client, that I have been making every effort to keep up-to-date with the ever-changing legal requirements and improving my skills as a conveyancer on an ongoing basis.
Utilising the PEXA Electronic Conveyancing Portal, the majority of conveyancing transactions are now completed electronically with documents being submitted to the Land Titles Office securely and the settlement funds between the banks and the parties being transferred in real-time.
The online Econveyancing system has assisted our industry in that settlements can take place in office instead of time spent travelling each day to the Land Titles Office, it has alleviated wait times on the phone with banks as we can communicate directly through the platform, and settlement proceeds are now paid and cleared by most banks the same day. So no more waiting for Bank Cheques to clear for days post settlement!
As an added protection we recommend and use the PEXA Key phone app which enables you to actually watch your settlement take place securely on your phone and is free and available on the Apple Store or Google Play.
We are able to correspond with you securely to provide to you Trust Account details, and you are able to directly add bank account details so you know your account details are being kept safe. In a time where cybercrime is at its highest, we are doing all we can to keep you and your money safe.
It is a government requirement to complete Verification of Identity on all parties. We have partnered with Australia Post and TriVOI to complete verifications. If we cannot meet with you in person you will be able to attend at an Australia Post Outlet with your identity documents, or through the TriVOI app where you can securely upload your identity documents from your home.
With people being busy, and most things now happening virtually, it is fantastic that we can now utilise online platforms for electronic completion of certain documents. You may be asked to complete the Contract and Form 1 with electronic signatures. We can now also offer to you this service through Docusign, one of the worlds leading online electronic signature companies. Let us know if you would like your authority documents to be sent to you for electronic completion. Not all documents can be signed this way so speak with us as to which you can to help streamline the process for you!
Let us know what you would like more information on. Are you buying or selling? Transferring within the family? Changed your name and need it registered? We will contact you to arrange your settlement.
